Screenhero Remote collaborations in real time are just a click away.

Here’s how J Sherwani, co-founder of Screenhero, describes the desktop-sharing service: “In 2010, my fellow co-founders [Vishal Kapur, Jason DiCioccio, and Faraz Khan] and I were working together on iTeleport, a mobile app I built that allows you to control your computer from your iOS device. A few years later, when we began to see our customers using iTeleport in ways it was never intended—for example, two users sharing the credentials of one computer and attempting to connect to it simultaneously—it forced us to look at the business in a new way. Enter Screenhero, which offers two people the opportunity not only to present information to each other remotely, but also to actively collaborate in real time. After becoming ‘buddies’ with another user, you’re free to share your screen, in its entirety or just one window, as well as participate in a text or voice chat with that person. Each user can view the other’s mouse cursor, which is labeled with his or her name, and interact with the program running on the shared screen at any point. In the future, we hope to offer video chat as well as make the platform compatible for groups. Screenhero is currently free, but that’s expected to change upon leaving the beta stage.”
